This is an evergreen fern that will reach 18 to 24" in a comfortably ferny setting. This fern is particularly nice when grown in woodland or Japanese gardens. The sori, which are produced in fall, are bright red. Try putting 'Key West' and 'Sapphire Pillows' next to each other and 'Brilliance' in front of them. Its common name 'Brilliance Autumn Fern' refers to the lustrous orange color of the newly emerging fronds which seem to glow against the backdrop of the shiny, dark green, mature fronds.
